Steven Kastanias

Steven is a Partner in the Project & Infrastructure Advisory team with 20 years’ experience.

Steven has advised government and private organisations supporting their major infrastructure investments, Australia wide. He is experienced in major project capital structuring, procurement, divestment, sole-sourcing and public private partnerships (PPP). His experience spans the transport, health, education, defence, social impact sectors as well as infrastructure policy and regulation.

While in the private sector, Steven was a lead PPP equity sponsor, managing construction and asset operational risks and special purpose vehicles, delivering critical infrastructure. Augmenting his private sector PPP experience, Steven joined the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance, Partnerships Victoria team. He led and sponsored multiple PPPs on behalf of the Victorian government and influenced PPP infrastructure policy and reforms.

Steven’s project experience has included the Defence Headquarters Joint Operations Command PPP, SEQ Schools PPP, New Royal Adelaide Hospital PPP, High Capacity Metropolitan Trains PPP, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre Expansion PPP, Inland Rail PPP, WestConnex Stages 1 and 3B and various unsolicited proposals.
